- question: "Do I still need to go to Quest or Labcorp?"
answer: "Not for blood work drawn as part of your care here. Our phlebotomist draws it in the office and our daily courier takes it to the lab. We also run some urine tests right here in the office."
  - question: "How soon will I get my results?"

  - question: "Can non-members use the in-office blood draw?"
answer: "No. In-office blood draws are for members."

## What you skip

For most people, a lab order means a second errand: find a draw center, check in, and wait in a long line at Quest or Labcorp, sometimes while you're fasting. Our members skip all of that.

## How it works

1. **Dr. Shoemaker orders what you need** during your visit.
2. **Our phlebotomist draws your blood** in the office, in a few minutes, at the same appointment or at a separate time that suits you.
3. **A courier picks up samples from our office every day.** Quest or Labcorp processes them in about the same time as if you'd gone there yourself, without the trip or the line.
4. **Your results come back to Dr. Shoemaker,** who reviews them and goes over them with you.

## Why it matters for your care

Some care depends on regular blood work: hormone therapy for perimenopause and menopause, testosterone therapy, weight-loss medication, heart-risk screening and your executive physical. When the draw happens at a visit you're already at, those labs get done on schedule, and your doctor sees the results alongside everything else she knows about you.

## What's included, and what insurance covers

The blood draw is part of your membership. Processing your sample at the lab goes through your insurance, just like imaging, prescriptions and specialist visits, and you can use your HSA or FSA for it as usual. Some specialty tests, such as advanced heart markers, may carry a separate lab fee. No insurance, or a high deductible? We can send your labs to a partner lab with low cash prices instead.

## See it for yourself

Start with a free meet & greet, in person or virtual, with no commitment.
